Following the successful implementation of an online booking engine based on the Microsoft CRM platform for eCabs, Malta’s premier taxi cab company earlier this year – the product, known as (Integrated Booking & CRM Solution) IBOCS was one of three finalists for the “Best eBusiness Idea of the year” category.
IBOCS has been purposely designed to cover the entire lifecycle of a taxi cab service. The key innovative aspects of the solution are:
a. A fully integrated booking engine with “smart features” that is integrated with a full blown Microsoft CRM solution;

c. IBOCS is fully integrated with a software based PABX , thus intelligently handling incoming calls , by automatically bringing up the relevant
client record and the most recent set of bookings of that customer;
d. IBOCS provides smart features for the dispatcher including “airport-like” status screens.
Future enhancements of the system include mobile technology integration within the fleet of cabs and a mobile application for consumers. In addition to this , IBOCS supports integration with vehicle tracking solutions.
The solution has enabled eCabs to scale up its operational efficiency and reduce “dead mileage” as well as improve customer service to an unparalleled degree for a sector previously known for its high cost, lack of customer service and inefficiency.
